The DNRC Regional Headquarters project was a complete remodel to the existing facility with a 9000 square-foot addition to the existing building. The entire project took place during normal business hours as Sirius employees and subcontractors worked cooperatively with the DNRC staff as they conducted their daily duties. The striking custom log work, exposed heavy timber and custom interior trim was sourced from the Milltown Dam removal project. With Sirius making arrangements to have dozens of century-old, sunken logs kiln dried and hand peeled prior to milling and installation. Two other buildings on campus were simultaneously remodeled and updated with new HVAC systems and interior finishes—and a complete geothermal ground source heat and cooling system was installed to serve the main building.
