Sirius Construction uncovers Union Block's 127-year-old elegance
Sirius Construction is restoring the original façade of the old Radio Building on Main in downtown Missoula. We're removing the existing metal-panels installed over 70 years ago and revealing the 130 year-old “Union Block,” a late 19th Century, state of the art façade featuring elegant brick work, marble accents, ornamental granite columns and capitols, ten foot high windows and fine architectural woodworking. The Union Block and was built between 1891 and 1893 by Missoula pioneers Higgins, Greenough and Houston. This historic restoration project is schedule for completion in the Fall 2021. Follow our progress as we bring the old Union Block back to its original architectural splendor, where it will once again stand among the great landmark buildings in downtown Missoula.
